I am working on a project and need to find the estimated operating cost for an injection molding machine , my major concern is how should I estimate the power or energy consumption in kWh for a machine with a capacity of 2580 gm injection weight, 2 motors with 30kW and 37kW and heating power of 43kW.The machine i am refering to is HAITAI HTW600.Actually in an Injection Molding Machine the rated power is not consumed for the entire duration of the operation, so adding the POWERS is not helping, even an approximate power utilisation % will be required.

assumption: ignoring the extra wire resistance,30kW+37kW+43kW=110kWif u run this machine by 1 hour than it spend 110kWh of energy

    Dear pa,
    Thank you, am also fine like you then dear just connect a ammeter in each phase then measure the current if all are same means multiply the measured voltage with power calculating formula say root3* v * I * cos phy.
